Truly honored & humbled to be named “Best Chef o Truly honored & humbled to be named “Best Chef of RI 2024” by @rimonthly and all of YOU who lovingly voted for ya guuuuurl ♥️💋🙏💫 Honestly, this award and entire event has brought out all the feels for me 🥹 Life lately feels completely surreal. Like it might not really be mine that I’m livin’, but here I am dancing through it again and again and again ♥️ _ From finally moving and (working on) settling into the house we’ve been building for a year, to crossing state lines both personally + professionally, to the busiest summer season we’ve ever had in business, to having the honor of being a bridesmaid in not one, not ✌️, but THREE weddings for the best friends + family this year, to supporting my Mom through her second battle against breast cancer (third time against cancer). All I can say is, life is good, life is sweet, EVEN when it feels like A LOT ♥️ _ An ode to my career as a Chef… because shoot who and where would I be if this love-hate industry had scared me off years ago? 😂 Real talk… what you see 👀 is “Best Chef of RI,” but what you don’t see is the countless sacrifices, hours, weekends, holidays missed with friends and family + YEARS of climbing the ranks from dishwasher, to prep cook, to line cook, to manager, to Chef & Entrepreneur. What you don’t see is the cuts, bruises, blood, sweat, tears, scars, and literal burns it took to get right here. What you don’t see is the 12-15 hour days without a break, standing on your numbed out and blistered feet, with an empty stomach, making the magic happen and then getting home at 1 or 2 am just to unpack a fully loaded car after a catering event. What you don’t see is the exhaustion, the stiff neck and shoulders, the aches, pains, cracking joints, and spider veins that inhabit a Chef’s body. What you don’t see is the YEARS of sexual harassment, abuse, male dominated control, and misogyny you’ve got to experience as a FEMALE CHEF just to gain experience in this industry. I’m grateful because what you get to see and who I’ve grown up to be is a woman who gets to dance and play in the fire 🔥 #femalechef #entrepeneurlife #bossbabe

Have you ever felt discouraged, less than, held ba Have you ever felt discouraged, less than, held back, resentful, or “put back in your place” when someone makes you feel invaluable? When someone makes you feel small or constricted? 😞 When they flat out say NO or deny your genuine request or offer? When someone discourages your desires, tells you you’re not good enough, or that your dreams won’t happen for xyz reason? 😟 That sting often stays with us for days, weeks, and even years. It’s that sting that keeps us stuck, second-guessing ourselves + on a never-ending hunt for outside validation 😶 Sometimes from virtually anyone 🤷‍♀️ Ever heard of searching for love in all the wrong places? This is that dynamic. Here’s the thing… humans have been unconsciously pre-programmed from birth to seek validation, acceptance, recognition, and simply wait for others to acknowledge our goodness, our gifts, our value BEFORE we give ourselves permission to safely embody ALL of those parts. This is the untangling work I do with my clients, because inherent value actually works the other way. Your value is yours to decide, yours to choose, yours to cast out into the world, it’s deep inside of you 💎 Your value is a feeling, a knowing, and something no one can take away from you, once you do the inner work to uncover what’s holding you back from fully connecting with it and GOING FOR IT ❤️‍🔥 #knowyourvalue #innerknowing #lifeandbusinesscoach
Just because you grew up in a a family dynamic whe Just because you grew up in a a family dynamic where you were “safe,” meaning your life or physical safety was not at risk, doesn’t mean you grew up in an *emotional safe* environment. This is key. And often times, this is what we fail to realize or admit, in fear of feeling like we’re throwing our parents under the bus. In fear of being judged or labeled as weak, needy, overreactive, or sensitive. In fear of feeling like we’re messed up, missing something, or are just the way we are. Say it with me, it’s safe to change 🙏 It’s safe to show up differently. It’s safe to protect my boundaries even if those around me do not protect their own. You know what it feels like to have little to zero boundaries 😪 But do you understand why it feels comfortably uncomfortable to continue accepting that reality? #boundariesarehealthy #peoplepleaserproblems #familydynamics #familymediator
